On April 27, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf vetoed legislation that would have limited the types and amount of prescription drugs available to injured workers. The governor said he rejected Senate Bill 936 because it was too broad, would harm injured workers, and would not have the effect on the opioid crisis that backers have said it would. The bill would have created a state-sanctioned list of opioids and other drugs that injured workers could receive while also dictating the dosage, duration, and number of drugs doctors could prescribe.
