Court Rules Ohio’s Ban on Soliciting Workers Comp Clients is Unconstitutional

A federal appeals court has held that Ohio’s law prohibiting lawyers from soliciting workers’ compensation claimants is unconstitutional. The state’s interest in claimants’ privacy “cannot outweigh” a law firm’s “right to engage in commercial speech,” the court said. -more-
