Started in 2015, Insurance Careers Month is an initiative which aims to bring awareness about recruiting the next generation of insurance professionals.

There might be 400,000 vacant positions in the insurance industry by 2020 thanks to a mass retirement of baby boomers, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. In recent years that has led to rapidly accelerating efforts to attract new talent. This has spawned initiatives such as the Insurance Careers Movement, in which companies have united to promote industry employment via social media, webinars and other platforms; and MyPath, which educates students and young professionals about insurance and its career opportunities.
