PIA Nebraska: States, not feds, best to regulate insurance
Mark Suhr, PIA National Director from Nebraska, urged his state’s lawmakers to support the repeal of the Federal Insurance Office in a letter to the editor of the Lincoln (NE) Journal-Star.
“As an independent insurance agent, I care about my clients’ well-being and worry about the continued expansion in authority of the FIO,” Suhr wrote. “I encourage Nebraska’s congressional delegation and senators to support this important bill. If our representatives truly stand for state primacy in protecting insurance consumers, they will sign on to this legislation.”
